I have not seen this wonderful old photo before. However, may I suggest that these are the Victorian houses still found in Devon Road and not Orpin Road? I lived opposite for some 20 years. Is there any way I could get a copy of these lovely old views?

Not orpin road. Orpin houses built in late 1930's.
